The second quarter of 2015 shows decreasing sawlog prices in Sweden after a consistent surge in the first quarter. Pine and spruce sawlogs are both cheaper by more than half euro. Pine logs cost now an average of EUR 50.81/cbm, while spruce logs were traded in the second quarter at EUR 55.31/cbm

In the first eleven months of 2014, Sweden has exported about 11.4 million cubic meters of sawn and planed softwood lumber. This represents a 5.7% increase over the same period of 2013. Main export markets for the Swedish lumber are the United Kingdom and Egypt, followed by Norway and Germany.
