On a yearly basis, nearly all roundwood assortments in Estonia have become cheaper in August 2015, with few exceptions. Pine logs were traded at 65.21/m³ (more than -5% below August 2014). Spruce logs price has decreased by -4.80% yoy, while birch logs are slightly more expensive against the same month of last year.
The price of small diameter logs (d<18) lost about EUR 3-5/m³ over last year. Pulpwood (pine, spruce and birch) price also declined by an average of EUR 7.32/m³.
The monthly price comparison shows more or less the same development, though the price drops are less significant in value. In August 2015, pine, spruce and birch logs declined only negligible over July, small logs managed to gain a price increase of more than EUR 2/m³. Pulpwood assortments price recorded some disparate movements: pine&spruce pulpwood became cheaper, while birch pulpwood price was slightly up.
