The German producer prices for Douglas fir showed a slight to clear upward trend in November 2020 - with the exception of Douglas fir short, which fell by 3.4% to 37.3 points, even more than in October 2020. On average, however, the index for Douglas fir showed a slight upward trend (1.3%) and reached 63.3 points - the same level as in November 2019. Pulpwood Douglas fir rose by a subtle 0.5% to 44.8 and Douglas fir long dared one jump by 6.8% to a level of 62.9 points.
Compared with other softwoods, Douglas fir scored points in November 2020 by reaching the previous year's figure. It has held comparatively stable prices since February. However, spruce recently made particularly strong gains. And the price of pine was closest to the comparable value from 2015.
