In Norway, a total of 2.3 million cubic metres of roundwood were cut for sale in the 3rd quarter of 2015. This is 2 percent more than in the corresponding quarter of 2014. The average Norwegian roundwood price rose by 6 percent in the same period.
The aggregated gross value of roundwood in Norway sold to the manufacturing industry was NOK 747 million (EUR 80,4 million) in the third quarter of 2015; a decrease of NOK 35 million (EUR 3,7 million) compared with the corresponding quarter of 2014.
On average, Norwegian forest owners obtained NOK 319 (EUR 34,36) per cubic metre; a decrease of NOK 20 (EUR 2,15) compared with the third quarter of 2014.
