After a brief ease in May and June, roundwood prices in Estonia increased again in July. This applies particularly to weak lumber. Compared to the same month last year almost all ranges are more expensive, except birch wood.

The prices for birch and birch veneer are slightly below the level of July 2012. Birch is priced fairly constant and varies in 2013 from 56 to 58 EUR / fm. The price of veneer has declined seasonally. A similar price trend was also observed last summer.

Coniferous pulpwood is 14% more expensive as compared to June. Poplar pulpwood increased by 17% from June and is now back at the previous year's level. Only the price of birch pulpwood fell significantly with more than 12% below the price of the previous year.
