After a relatively stable February, Lithuanian roundwood prices went down again in March both as compared to February as well as compared to March 2014. Pine and spruce are cheaper by EUR 2 per cubic meter over February. The price of birch and small-sized softwood remained stable, while alder is more expensive by EUR 1/m3.
Pulpwood assortments are on a sharp declining trend. If their prices are lower by EUR 1/m3 over February, compared with the March 2014 a more pronounced price fall can be noticed. The decrease varies by between -17% for birch pulpwood to -33% for spruce pulpwood.
